my heart. sometimes i wish i could yank it out you know? just take it and throw it away. being emotionless has its upside, no hurt, no pain. having a heart, as much as the romantics believe it to be good for you, fucking isn't. Having a heart means youre vulnerable. You giving your heart to someone means you trust that this person will not hurt you, will not damage what keeps you alive. We all make mistakes. I don’t know if ganito din sa Lugar nyo… Dito sa amin karaniwan nang katuwaan naming mga BS math na sa tuwing
mapapasabak sa Ingglesan ay napapatulala at nagkakaroon ng nose bleed.. (hahah) hmmm… nakakatuwa lang kasi ung mga ganyang
biro.. biro ba?? o totoo?

obvious nmn.. kaya nga minsan nakaka-bobo ng english ung mag BSMATH ka (kahit nga minsan sa spelling d kana marunong ).. alam nyo kong bakit?? ako rin d alam ei.. ( d biro lng )
kasi nmn hinde applicable sa math ang pronouns synonyms at kong ano ano pang meron mga nyms …
Samantala kung kukuha ka ng college textbook sa math ang karaniwang makikita mo dun ay ang salitang "function" ay ilang libo pa yan lalabas,
at kapag bs math ka.. sanay na sanay ka sa pag gamit ng mga sentences na "if, then, however,therefore, morever, since, furthermore, thus, now, hence, at if and only if..."
ang construction… palibhasa halos un lang ung english na matututunan
mo, yun ang mga salitang tatatak na sa bokabularyo ng isang BS math student (ginagamit kasi sa proving^^)
Sa tingin ko lang hindi masyadong naayos ang grammar ng math. uhmm ano sa tingin nyo??

sa sipnayan ay mahina ka sa arts..kasama na ang english dun… pero sa
tingin ko… bilang bs math… pwede ka nmn talgang maging magaling sa
english eh..
tulad nga ng sinasabi nmn.. for every problem, there exists a
solution... mula sa isang adik na mathematician (proud haha) eh mukha lang
yang isang algorithm na may madaling formula.. totoo nmn db? grammar?
arrangement lang ng mga salita yan! tamang permutation and combination
ng mga salita… mga salita? forms ng language? noun, pronoun, verb,
adjectives, preposation, conjunction etc… walang iba kung hindi mga elemento ng mga
sets… sets na most of the time are mutually exclusive… LOL… at
katulad din ng mga problem solving sa calculus, algebra at analysis…
ang pagsusulat ay practice lamang, kaya sa tingin ko, hindi nmn
talga nahihirapan ang mga BS math sa English eh!! Masyado lang abala
ang mga BS-math sa pagaaral ng theoretical approach sa math. practice
kami ng practice sa pagsosolve at pagproprove ng mga mathematical
statements… kaya wala ng oras madalas para magsolve ng mga problema
sa English.. wala ng oras magbasa ng fiction novel o magsulat… pero
katulad nga ng sinabi ko kanina… tamang formula lang yan…
ei kayu mga major in english?? ano nmn masasabi nyo?? bout math??

Condolence to the family of Marcelo Morales

Words cannot alone express how sad to hear that my friend "Dodong" Marcelo Morales was passed away due to car accident in cebu few days ago.

I can't tell you how bad I feel to have a good friend of mine gone. I know that we all must die once, but still it is hard to let go of those we love and spend so much of our lives with, he's too young also, but you have helped so many of us. I personally want to share your loss and thank you for sharing so much with us.

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of "Dodong". My family has been praying for him for quite some time. Unfortunately for us who are left behind, the answer to prayer was not the one we were looking for. Only Dodong truly knows the Glory of the Heavenly Kingdom as he has been "promoted" to eternal bliss.

Which Day Is The Christian Sabbath? Sunday or Saturday?

What is the truth about the Sabbath Day?

One very controversial subject among Christians today is Gods Seventh Day Sabbath. Some Christians are not even aware the Sabbath is Saturday.

The Bible tells us clearly in Daniel that a persecuting power would change God’s laws of which it did – the Seventh Day Sabbath became the first day Sabbath without God’s approval. The book of Daniel also refers to this change of God’s law by this antichrist power as reaching to the host of heaven and trampling the heavenly sanctuary under foot. We find the same expression used in Hebrews chapter ten in reference to wilful sin.

Hebrews 10:26-29 “For if we sin WILFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth NO more sacrifice for sins, … He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

This verse informs us that there remains no more sacrifice for deliberate sin and to continue in sin is to trample the Son of God under foot and to treat Christ's work on the cross as an unholy thing despite the fact we are now under God’s Grace. This is a warning we should take very seriously.

This change to the Sabbath came about over hundreds of years and by the death of millions and millions of Christians. This is another fact that most Christians are unaware of. Select the following to watch a typical true story of the death of a Sabbath keeper by burning.

What exactly is the Sabbath day all about anyway?

Our Creator God starts off the fourth Commandment with the word “Remember.” This is because He knew it would be lost and forgotten. God asks that we keep the Sabbath set apart for Holy purposes so we can draw nearer to Him. The Fourth Commandment to remember the Sabbath concludes the section of the Ten Commandments that specifically helps define a proper relationship with God, how we are to love, worship and relate to Him. It explains why and when we need to take special time to draw closer to our Creator. It is also a special sign between us and God forever, that it is Him that sanctifies us Him alone we belong to and worship. The Sabbath, the Seventh day of the week was set apart by God as a time of rest and spiritual rejuvenation. So why is this Commandment so frequently ignored, attacked and explained away by so many Christians? Could it be because the challenges to the Sabbath Commandment are views generated by the ruler of this present evil world? After all, this being wants us to accept these views because he hates God’s law. He does all he can to influence us to ignore, avoid and reason our way around it. On our calendar the Sabbath begins at sunset Friday evening and ends at sunset Saturday evening.

Those that keep the true Sabbath day say that it is a blessing and their favourite day of the week. The Sabbath is quality time with family and relaxing and fellowshipping with God and other Christians. Jesus said we are to not only obey the Ten Commandments but teach them also yet some people are doing the opposite. Why are these people so determined to take this blessing from those who keep the Sabbath properly, and in the way Jesus intended and not like the Pharisees who turned it into a legalistic burden? What spirit is behind this? Why do so many professed Christians try so desperately hard to avoid this special time with their Creator God on His Holy day? The Sabbath should be our favourite day of the week and it is for those who have searched for the Sabbath truth and found it. God says we are to find this day a delight and a blessing. God did not say we should call it legalism or a burden!

Isaiah 58:13-14 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a DELIGHT, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shall honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shall you delight thyself in the LORD...”

Like all the other nine Commandments, it is a Commandment of love and thus loving God with all your heart includes all the first four Commandments. Our God is not a God of confusion that mixes a law that defines what love and sin is with something that is not love or not sin. Whether we understand it or not, to try and find reasons as to why the Sabbath is changed or ended is no different than trying to find excuses as to why it is now acceptable to worship idols or commit murder etc. There is another law found in the Old Testament that was only for the Jews and had ceremonial sabbaths but God did not place His Sabbath in this law. He placed it in the Ten Commandments because that is where it belongs.

If God sent an Angel to tell you that He loves you and sent His only Son to die for you and that He wants you to spend quality time with Him on a specific day that He blessed and sanctified, would you send the Angel back to God with the message, “sorry God, that day is not convenient for me” or “no God, I can't spend that time with you on your Holy day, that's legalism” or even, “tell God that it does not have to be on His Holy day and I will spend time with Him on that day that was used for Sun worship that He detested instead.” Is that what we would really say? Why is it so hard for us to rest in Jesus on His Holy day?

Many Christians believe that there is only one or two denominations or groups that keep the true Sabbath day when there are in fact over five hundred Sabbath keeping denominations that keep the true Seventh day Sabbath and that number is growing. Whole chains of Churches are changing back after attending Prophecy seminars run by people that have not been deceived by Satan's attempt to keep Christians in the dark on the Sabbath truth or Bible prophecy believing it cannot be understood. Do these hundreds of different Church denominations with millions and millions of members know something that we don’t?

Who changed the Sabbath to Sunday?

Below are statements from the Roman Catholic Church which give the simple answer as to why most Churches now keep Sunday as the Sabbath. Most Christians have no idea that this even happened or how it happened. Revelation 13 tells us that Satan gave his power and authority to the Catholic Church. Why? It was Satan's plan to have this Church change the Sabbath to Sunday. Why did Satan do this? The Sabbath is about who we give our allegiance to. If we obey God and keep His Sabbath day Holy, we give our allegiance to God. If we obey the Commandment of the Catholic Church and keep their day Holy, who do we give our allegiance to then? The Catholic Church answers this question below with two of their quotes. But looking deeper, who gave this Church power so God’s true day of worship could be changed? Does the Bible support the change to Sunday?
“Most Christians assume that Sunday is the biblically approved day of worship. The Catholic Church protests that it transferred Christian worship from the biblical Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday, and that to try to argue that the change was made in the Bible is both dishonest and a denial of Catholic authority. If Protestantism wants to base its teachings only on the Bible, it should worship on Saturday.” Rome’s Challenge

As I observed nowadays early pregnancy of teens are very rampant and common. I was wondering what causes of this early pregnancy.I have a Grade V student having an affair and infact they live together now. Are they curious about love affair? Curious of what is sex all about?Usually within the ages of 13-17 become pregnant.I asked myself whom to be blamed?Is it the family, or the sorroundings or maybe the so called "barkada"? Some girls when they reached the menarche, they don't think or aware if their going to get pregnant. Are they aware of it? Or maybe they are lack of information about premarital sex.According to a University of the Philippines study, nearly two million of over 17 million adolescents in the country are sexually active with early sexual debut and unprotected sex.The national demographic and survey supports this fact in its 2003 study, revealing that one out of four women become mothers by age 19, while four out of 10 women in the 20 to 24-year-old bracket have already engaged in sexual activity.The groups identified early sexual encounter and pregnancy because of a number of reasons like peer pressure, media exposure, and inability to discuss with parents regarding sexuality. They later linked early sexual debut and teen pregnancy to early marriage, school dropout, and perpetual poverty.I think we should be vigilant in guiding our teenagers now. They are suppose to be at school to get an education.

Salient Features of RA8792

In 1999, the Philippines 2000 Law was the first law crafted and deliberated online by the private sector.

Republic Act 8792 , signed into law last June 14, 2000, is a landmark law in the history of the Philippines. Not only has this bill made the country a legitimate player in the global marketplace. The Philippine Internet community has played a major role in pushing for its passage. The law took effect last June 19, 2000.

With the Philippines relaxed stock market listing rules plus a proposed vibrant investment priorities program in place, Filipinos here and abroad and its foreign partners have something to look forward for.

Here's the salient features of RA8792:

It gives legal recognition of electronic data messages, electronic documents, and electronic signatures.
Allows the formation of contracts in electronic form.
Makes banking transactions done through ATM switching networks absolute once consummated.
Parties are given the right to choose the type and level of security methods that suit their needs.
Provides the mandate for the electronic implementation of transport documents to facilitate carriage of goods. This includes documents such as, but not limited to, multi-modal, airport, road, rail, inland waterway, courier, post receipts, transport documents issued by freight forwarders, marine/ocean bill of lading, non-negotiable seaway bill, charter party bill of lading.
Mandates the government to have the capability to do e-commerce within 2 years or before June 19, 2002.
Mandates RPWeb to be implemented. RPWeb is a strategy that intends to connect all government offices to the Internet and provide universal access to the general public. The Department of Transportation and Communications, National Telecommunications Commission, and National Computer Center will come up with policies and rules that shall lead to substantial reduction of costs of telecommunication and Internet facilities to ensure the implementation of RPWeb.
Made cable, broadcast, and wireless physical infrastructure within the activity of telecommunications.
Empowers the Department of Trade and Industry to supervise the development of e-commerce in the country. It can also come up with policies and regulations, when needed, to facilitate the growth of e-commerce.
Provided guidelines as to when a service provider can be liable.
Authorities and parties with the legal right can only gain access to electronic documents, electronic data messages, and electronic signatures. For confidentiality purposes, it shall not share or convey to any other person.
Hacking or cracking, refers to unauthorized access including the introduction of computer viruses, is punishable by a fine from 100 thousand to maximum commensurating to the damage. With imprisonment from 6 months to 3 years.
Piracy through the use of telecommunication networks, such as the Internet, that infringes intellectual property rights is punishable. The penalties are the same as hacking.
All existing laws such as the Consumer Act of the Philippines also applies to e-commerce transactions.

Anyone who uses the Internet, computer, cellular phone, and other IT-enabled devices has the duty to know RA8792. As the old saying goes, ï¿½Ignorance of the law doesnï¿½t excuse anyone.ï¿½

There were several hacking/cracking incidents that took place in the past five years. I am worried that these people behind the hacking attempts are completely ignoring RA8792 or The E-Commerce Law. In one of my public speaking engagements, I was asked how come there are still so many hacking attempts even now that we have a law. Is it unenforceable?

I fear that as e-commerce takes off in the government and private sector, the moment we run to law enforcers in times of trouble, they will not be able to help us.

The law enforcement agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation and Philippine National Police are continuously beefing up their skills. It is sad to note however that they have not received any form of funding for their training and cybercrime equipment. Whatever they have right now are donated by foreign governments in the form of training and equipment. Despite limited resources, the conviction of the first Filipino hacker under Republic Act 8792 puts high marks on our enforcement of the E-Commerce Law.

The business community and Internet users must contribute and work with government to take action on this. It is not the Cybercrime bill that is important today, giving appropriate funding for cybercrime enforcement is, that will allow the creation of cybercrime helpdesks all over the country.

In addition, it requires vigilance from the Internet community as well. If you know of someone that has made these hacking actions, report them. It is the duty of every Filipino to report these crimes. They can contact the Cyber Crime Anti Fraud Division of the National Bureau of Investigation at Taft Ave., Manila, phone number (632) 5254093 and look for Director Reynaldo Wycoco or Atty. Elfren Meneses, Jr. Those who became victims as well should report it and not just ignore it, change the site, and move on. If this is the attitude that site owners will show, unlawful actions such as this, regardless of best or worst intention, will never cease. The web hosting, Internet Service Provider, phone companies should extend their best cooperation as well to facilitate efficient investigation in this regard.

More importantly, what the hackers should realize that just because they were not caught now, does not mean they are already off the hook. What they are only doing is accumulate offenses. One day, the hand of the law will reach them. Once that happens, all of these offenses can be combined into a one big case that can put them to jail longer than they think. Even if the owners of the sites that they were able to hack decide not to pursue a case against them, it does not mean they no longer have a liability. The hacking/cracking/piracy provision of the E-Commerce Law makes such acts as criminal offenses in nature, therefore what can only be waived, should the companies decide not to sue them, is the civil liability (monetary damages) and the criminal liability will still be pursued by the state.

I hope that publications can play a role in sparking vigilance among Internet users of this country and the world against acts of hacking/cracking/piracy. The act of hacking should never be glamorized and even make these people who commits these acts as heroes. It may send a wrong signal that our younger Internet generation might misunderstand.

These people are seeing that they're getting the media mileage and attention that they long for and see it like a merit/badge of their hacking accomplishment. Being published, talked about, is I'm very sure, a big deal for some of these guys.

I hope to see the computer publications as a medium in making the Internet users vigilant and not scared/wary of these hackers. Perhaps feature articles on how the NBI, ISPs, phone companies, National Security Council, handle these incidents.

Hacking, cracking, piracy is a crime under RA8792. The iron hand of the law must be fully enforced or else this can propagate further and cause irreparable damage to the Philippine Internet industry as a whole. The increase number of hacking incidents these past few weeks is already alarming. Worst, these people seems to be enjoying it and not even bothered with the consequences.
